Hotel Jacobeo

Great location!!

We stayed in this hotel when we walked the Camino 8 years ago. We liked the hotel and the town and surrounding countryside so much that we returned for an overnight stay this time with a car, while on route from southern Spain to France. Pleasant and relaxing small town plaza, with couple of restaurants that served good food, very comfortable and clean hotel with restful atmosphere, nice sitting area on top floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect cafe/bar in the lobby of hotel for a drink or for breakfast (the tortilla was delicious and the coffee was excellent). The hotel cafe is obviously popular with the locals as well.

The town is on a major truck route, which seems strange for the region and not on a major highway, but it seems this is a preferred route for trucks going to and from Burgos. That said, this has nothing to do with the hotel and the traffic didn't interfere with our stay or our sleep. Lighting in the room was not ideal -- either too bright overhead lights or too dim bedside lights. No fridge in room which we never expect but always appreciate to keep our travel food supply fresh.

Near town Centre square

On main road , thin walls and had a hostel type feel . Croissants at breakfast were not fresh. I would swerve breakfast but coffee was good in a push. I would hold out till you start to leave town . Some nice breakfast places on the way on the route
