Mazagonia

This was a lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and really clean and comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and these were provided straight away. The outside space was lovely. A stunning view from the terrace with amazing sunsets and a lovely swimming pool. We didn't go to the beach but it looked amazing. The owner and her staff (special mention for the waitress Paloma) were lovely - friendly and could not do enough for us. We ate in the hotel on our second night there and the food was some of the best we had experienced on our tour around Spain. Would highly recommend this family run, friendly hotel. And, by the way, they have peacocks and the cutest puppy I have ever seen!

Location, the views are stunning and there is a path that brings you to the beach and to the village. The receptionist Paloma was superb, helpful beyond belief and as somebody who lives close by she knows everything about the area. The movement of ships across the view is fascinating, especially if you have a boatwatch or similar app that tells you where they're going.

Hard to find fault, but first impressions aren't great, the approach to the hotel is a bit ragged, needs a gardner for a few days.

Very basic and neglected

Staff, room (though I don’t like shower in room, separate toilet though), hamacas (ask for cushions). Nice dining room with excellent vistas.

The entrance gate was complicated. It turned out I had to make a tel call to enter (by car). I had expected some sort of intercom.

The location was excellent, on a high point with a view of the beach. The gardens were beautiful (even in November) with great access to the town and beach. The team at the hotel were fantastic, and the meals we had there were "muy ricos!". The chef/waitress could not have been more attentive.

Not the fault of the hotel, but I found it a bit weird that we were the only guests. Not surprising in November, I guess. My wife loved it though, and was extremely pleased that we had a "personal chef"!. The architect seemed to have gone for an industrial chic vibe, which I didn't think fitted the location. And our room was a little smaller than I'd have liked.
