"Not at all as described. Very bizarre and disappointing."

The location was quiet

The hotel did not look at all like the pictures provided. It is incredibly tired and old fashioned. Both rooms provided smelled badly of smoke. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. The pool was clean but smelled very musty. There was no menu provided for an evening meal. Drinks were available in the evenings but we had to drink them outside as they shut the seating area.

Breakfast was very good, Location superb. We were that happy that we booked a visit on our return home. When we are next in the area we would hope to be able t o stay again. Very good value for money.

Lodging here was fantastic. I didn't make much use of the facilities duevto the 4 day march of Chantonnay, but the bed was comfy, the food nourishing and the staff friendly, which all contributed to finishing that dreaded 172km march! I had originally booked it with the intent to use the pool, which looked lovely, but after 8 hours+ walking I couldn't bring myself to go to the pool. From a distance it looked great however!

"Good location for those travelling to the West of Paris heading for Brittany."

We were offered a double ebdded room that as I am very tall was unsuitable. they changed this quickly - no problem but charged me for the twin. Restaurant for dinner at this time of the year is very limited, we ate out.

site for us on our way to Brittany from the Dordogne was good, particularly as we were meeting friends who live quite close to Chantonnay. The heating in the room could have been better.

"Tranquil surroundings and lovely pizza dinner"

We love this lakeside hotel - so tranquil! The restaurant has great food and prices and the staff are lovely. We found this hotel by accident the first time, but came back a second time because it was tranquil and dog-friendly.

The bed was a little hard, but it was only 1 night so it was fine. They gave us a balcony because it was off season, so we could sit and look at the lovely view.

"Great stay, would return."

Comfortable, lived-in establishment with very friendly, helpful staff, situated just off the motorway. There was a indoor pool and breakfast/lunch/dinner was available on the terrace overlooking the lake. Buffet breakfast was good. Food was good with great pizzas. while we were there early/mid Sept it was very quiet (perfect). Pleasant walk to nearest town and facilities. Plenty of off-road parking. Comfy beds, good shower, spacious bedroom with balcony
