Mansfield Lodge Hotel Ltd

The Mansfield Lodge Hotel is based on the corner of a street, with the car park entrance in the smaller Park Street almost at the junction. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The single room was small, but well presented, with a decent sized bathroom. Free secure Wi-Fi available. The food in the evening was nice and the breakfast very good. Breakfast in the morning is from 07.00am, with both continental style and traditional available. The lady in the morning got my cooked breakfast done quickly (but very nicely), when I informed her I had to be away for 07.30.

A couple of very small items. The evening menu list of food is not large and the stool in the room is not the best to work at for a business user.

I think they like to know what time I was due to arrive but didn’t ask me until the day I was checking in so perhaps could ask before then? Also, sometimes you just don’t know what time you’re gonna arrive 😵‍💫.

Breakfast was lovely. Staff were great.

*Superb charming hotel. Very comfortable. Lovely garden around it. * Good cooked breakfast.Very helpful friendly staff. Cosy dining room. As I had to go out quite early on first day, thus missing cooked breakfast, the kind lady provided me with cereals ,yoghurts etc.to take to my room. * Helpful gentleman ensured safe manoeuvring in parking space.

*Lack of lift to bedrooms due to old style building. Beautiful grand staircase, but a strain on injured or ageing knees! *Weekend breakfast starts too late if one needs to be out very early (like exhibitors setting stands at events). * Onsite parking quite limited to abt 5 cars. Probably road side parking allowed but I want my car on site. * No restaurant meals at wkend was very disappointing.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel and we have to say for a 2 star hotel we were very impressed. The whole hotel and room was immaculately clean, the room was large and toastily warm, the staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful, and our room was cleaned and fresh towels provided on the 2nd day which we were not expecting. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and was on the table within 20 minutes of us sitting down both mornings 😀 If you are looking for a cheap stay in Mansfield we definetly recommend

What a gorgeous place! Would highly recommend this hotel. Large spacious room, extremely comfortable bed, and compact ensuite. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever consumed. A warm welcome, alongside a hearty goodbye. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Mansfield.

The only suggestion I would have would be to have a small fridge in the room.
