Green Man by Chef & Brewer Collection

Een gezellige pub, waarbij je rustig kunt slapen in het ernaast gelegen hotel gebouw. Goede kamers met een goed bed en badkamer. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en keuze genoeg bij het ontbijt voor wie van een typisch Engels ontbijt houdt.

We moesten 2 trappen op en dat is voor ouderen toch een uitdaging. Geen lift helaas.

Very warm, cosy and great on the eye. Room was beautiful and bed was so comfortable. Great parking around the back. Plus WiFi connection for guests.

What we was unhappy with was the staffing unfortunately. The lady who checked us in was warm and welcoming. However the staff when we went for breakfast did not show any friendliness with a smile it was a sit down and help yourself and someone will be over to take your hot food order, however another lady came over did not show great customer service skills at all no smile nothing. They looked stressed maybe that’s why. Then we headed back to our room and this one cleaner asked us twice if we had checked out so they could clean. We said no not yet we were packing up but no customer service skills there either. Considering check out wasn’t until 11am and the time we were asked was around 9:45am just seemed they wanted us out. We seen people we knew as we were going out of the reception area and I think there was 4 cleaners standing there looking like they were almost listening in then asked us if everything was alright. Anyway when we eventually left the reception area after check out the cleaners were chatting with the reception staff member the one who originally checked us in was warm and polite saying thank you etc and the cleaners were standing said thank you but like had the vibe they wanted us out just so they could clean and maybe get an early finish. Who knows. Other than that lovely stay.

Car park was full and not really big enough for a pub/hotel with so many rooms.
