Fox & Hound Hotel

Cooked breakfast was ok.the only staff Member available on our morning of check out was the chef.The evening meal was amazing. Evening staff so professional and friendly.

Decor requires updating but adaquit.

It is located on the Cleveland Way, which I was walking.

There is no mobile signal and the guest WiFi is very poor. A kind member of staff gave me the login code for a different WiFi which worked very well. I strongly recommend that the hotel upgrades its guest wifi.

A convenient location for us. Welcoming people and adequate rooms. The dinner was good and the overall cost was inexpensive.

A noise in the pipework that woke us up. The bed was past its best.

The Free parking was great and a good location because it is close to the family we were visiting

The furniture was dated, mismatched and didn’t fit the room (ie could not sit at dressing table stool because it was too close to the bed). Shower cubicle had black mould round the bottom. Odd bits of furniture in the corridor.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were very good.

Water in bathroom took a long time to heat up.

The bed linen and towels were clean.

The smell of stale food upon entering the hotel, which permeated throughout the building. Everything about the hotel is tired and in need of attention. Apart from when I checked in, I did not see any members of staff, and the place was in darkness when I arrived back in the evening on both nights of my stay.
