Friendly staff, very nice hotel, although still under renovation, but beautiful new rooms available. Economic parking close by.

very cold room at night due to turned off heating in the night, lack of extra blanket or plaid, 3in1 body wash without conditioner or other cosmetics, old bad windows and awful draft in the room. staff rarely present on reception. poor experience for that price, room cost 129 eur per night

Excellent staff who were friendly and helpful and there when you needed them.

It was a problem that there was no fridge - in hot weather we would have like to have had cold water. The room was hot and this could have been fixed with air conditioning. The opening of windows did not help much.

We booked the only apartment-style room so we had a large lounge/bedroom with a kitchenette with two ring electic hob, sink, kettle, filter coffee machine and a small fridge-freezer. The kitchen cupboards were stocked with ample utensils & crockery as well as salt & pepper, coffee filters & ground coffee and cleaning materials. There was a desk with lamp, drawers & chair as well as a table with two more chairs, a large double bed with bedside tables & lamps. The apartment was at the top of the building so the views from the windows over the old town were very nice. The bathroom was also very large with a large centre-tap/shower-head bath, a separate shower cubicle and a large sink & mirror. Everything was very clean and modern and there were plenty of power sockets in all the right places. The breakfast room was very nice and the reasonably priced all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was varied and tasty with the option of scrambled eggs cooked on demand in addition to the wide selection of breads, rolls, cheeses, meats, cereals, yoghurts, fruit & boiled eggs. The old town with its square, restaurants, shops & churches was a short walk from the hotel and the railway station, large indoor/outdoor Freibad & new town supermarkets are a twenty minute walk or five minute drive away.

The hotel has no lift so getting luggage up the two flights of narrow stairs was a little tiring. We visited in hot weather and there was no air conditioning so the room which was partly in the pitched roof space got very hot and we had to ask for a floor-standing fan to alleviate the conditions. It would also have helped if the old-fashioned windows had been replaced with modern double-open-action triple-glazed ones. When we vistited, the hotel was undergoing renovation so the the outdoor terrace was a building site and the bar was not open. Since we were not warned about this it might have been a nice gesture to provide some compensation such as free breakfast or complimentary drinks in the room.

Would like to have a fridge in the room or one to share outside. Also, as it gets really hot during summer, a fan in the room could be nice
