White Hart Hotel

Poor hotel on check in told restaurant closed but could eat in sister hotel opposite. Then told main entrance would close early and the way to my room would be via emergency exit. When I returned this entry was up an unlit alleyway Breakfast OK but girl serving not very friendly

Nice clean room. Comfy bed. Dated bathroom. Shower not very powerful. The housekeeping lady (blond lady…not sure of her name) was very friendly, and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. Our only negative point, was the check-in girl did not inform us how to gain access to the hotel after 10pm. Lucky for us, one of the locals was able to guide us in the right direction.

Very friendly staff and the beer was good !

We arrived early ( parking for only 8 cars), but were warmly welcomed and once the room had been checked , we were allowed in, the room was large and light with a view over the town square. There were a few dog hairs in the carpet, but other than that it was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was continental but enjoyable with the staff , again very cheerful and couldn’t do enough to help ( even ran over to the Co-op to get a gluten free item for a guest). So to sum up I would definitely recommend this at for anyone

The staff were very nice but the breakfast was skimpy & looked like they were trying to save money. A box of cornflakes & a bit of something resembling granola, bread, croissants, 2 jars of jam with a little left, yogurts, a few pieces of fruit washed down with weak coffee. If they couldn’t stretch to a cooked breakfast then adding more variety of cereals, ham, cheese, better selection of fruit would have been some improvement. Also suggest providing tong’s to pick up bread & croissants rather than having to use fingers which was unhygienic & off putting. I’ve now read similar reviews but no comments back from the staff so assume they’re not bothered.

Comfortable but noisy, as in town centre, restaurant very good, interesting food

A lovely spot and beautiful building. It is so quirky and old. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I loved the low ceiling in the bathroom. The staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The only feedback I'd give relates to the breakfast which was very limited. I do appreciate it is only a continental breakfast but it really was a tiny selection. The tea pot and lovely china crockery were delightful though as I sipped my tea in the morning!
