Chester House Hotel

Clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff.

The rooms was cold and the heater/radiator was externally timed and externally timed to start at 5 PM. It also would not restart until 7 am. There were no hand towels or face cloths. The staff was very hard-working and the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and recommending places to see around the Cottswald area. The breakfast were very good and the pizza was also a hit. The pasta was not as good as we had hoped for from a ‘ Italian’ restaurant. They did serve a very good Malbec. parking was tight, but that was to be expected as one was warned about that when booking the room. No safe in the room and the Wi-Fi was poor. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is right in the center of Burton-on-the-Water.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. The location was excellent.

The hotel is located just right in the center of Bourton-on-the-water, a few meters from River Windrush - River Windrush Bridge, within short walking distance from any tourist attractions in Bourton-on-the-water. Their parking lot can accommodate 18 cars, if I'm not wrong. The room is very good with a big window. Breakfast was good too. On-site restaurant and bar was great.

The town can be a busy place, but this property was just tucked away enough that it was a little oasis of calm, while still having very easy access to all the restaurants and shops in the town. Simone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and options were plentiful. The room was not large, but didn't feel cramped at all, and the bed was VERY comfortable. Having a bathtub was also a bonus after a long day of hiking around the Cotswolds.

Because of all the rain, we took our shoes off at the door of the room, so it would have been nice to have hotel slippers and even a terrycloth robe to slip into. Otherwise, the experience was lovely.
