Midland Hotel

The location was ideal, a short walk from the bus station and within easy reach of a choice of places to eat.

We would have preferred a bedroom on a lower floor.

Good staff clean and consistent rooms

There was no breakfast I liked the location

The room was not hoovered There were no wardrobes and no hooks to hang anything. No bedside lamp and no mirtor in the bathroom Towels was for the entire time of stay no clean towels the next day Bins not emptied Could not sleep bed mattress ring uncomfortable

The location was the only good part. Was close to all I needed

Room was not clean. Ontop the wardrobe was a mountain of dust and also an empty takeaway box, a bra and a woolly hat. The tv turned on but I had no remote for it and when I asked at reception he said there isn’t one.

It was right by the bus and train stations. The bed linen and the bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I know the place is in the middle of refurbishing, and the room had just been freshly whitewashed, but the carpet was in need of replacing, the sash window would not stay open, and there was no remote control for the tv. The member of staff I spoke to about this was very amenable, but the last two points were not fully rectified.
