Writers' House Residency

We had a huge but cozy room, the atmosphere in the whole residency was very special. To get to the third floor you could walk through a small museum and exhibition on the history of writing and censorship in Georgia and wander through the rest of the historic building. The garden looked amazing although we unfortunately didn't spend any time in it as it rained during our stay. Nice breakfast with freshly prepared eggs.

The room is on the street side and there was quite some noise from traffic and partying neighbors in other buildings.

Es ist ein außergewöhnliches Haus, ein Museum mit einzigartigem Garten. Viele Leute kommen hierher, um ihre Hochzeit zu feiern oder um Fotos zu machen.

Wonderfully atmospheric place, and very comfortable.

We didn’t realise it was three and a half flights up. We’re good with stairs but it’s worth knowing if you have heavy bags. The stairs were also poorly lit at night.

Leider war die Klimaanlage ausgefallen

Super gelegen, nah am Zentrum. Man taucht direkt in die Literatur ein, da man sich quasi ständig durchs Museum bewegt. Sehr grosszügige Zimmer

Die Klimaanlage war defekt und es war heiss. ABER, das wurde mir rechtzeitig mitgeteilt, ich hätte ohne Mehrkosten umbuchen können. Wollte ich aber nicht 😃

The breakfast was lovely. Staff were very accommodating as we are Vegetarian. Plentiful, delicious variety of food. Rooms and building are Fabulous- quirky and artsy and very comfortable

Air conditioning was broken. Residence contacted us and offered an early check-in/late checkout to make up for the inconvenience. This worked out great As my daughter Arrived At 2:00 am. There were plenty of fans and the room was comfortable.
