"Love love love laughing goat!"

10.0

Cannot get enough of Laughing Goat hostel! Nancy and the rest of the staff are so kind and will help you with whatever you need. The rooftop is stunning, a perfect place for yoga and meditation and to chill or sunbathe if you want to. My room was absolutely fabulous - fan, balcony, private bathroom and mosquito net, all for very good value.

Would be lovely if breakfast were included. Also a yoga mat on site for communal use would be great, but that’s just me being picky!

"Lovely place a little way from the beach."

Lovely place with great staff.

The two meals we ordered for dinner we awful. A little awkward walking through the school to get to the hotel.

"calm spot in a good location"

8.0

it’s a very calm environment with nice shaded spaces and hammocks. it was in easy reach of the beach.

it was vegan so no eggs for breakfast. we asked about staying for longer but despite asking several times they would not confirm.

"Very chill spot, not at the beach but very close. Good for solo travellers, props to the staff."

8.0

Very chill spot. Beach is indeed 5 minutes walking distance, felt very safe even if it not in the area where the other hotels are located (Busua is very chill and touristic at this point). Staff was very friendly, laundry well done. Conditions are more than good enough. You also find solo travellers around here. Very quiet during the night. Believe me, you do not want to stay close to a church in Ghana unless you like waking up to preaching to a microphone at 5am ahah, and there's no such thing close by in this hostel.

I have seen negative reviews on the food, but you can always eat in other spots around Busua, I would come back regardless. The one meal I had was reasonable.

"Lovely spot! Worth your cedis :)"

8.0

Lovely spot, wonderfully maintained by super caretaker Abu! What a wonderful helpful guy! He arranges for surfing guys to come to the place and make arrangements. Nice flowergarden, and palmtrees with hammocks. Simple housing but hey what do you need when being in Ghana? Live happens outside! Short walk to bars, beaches, restaurant and village 'high street'. Bar and food joint, fully vegatarian. Avocado for breakfast is a highlight

When staying for over 3/4 days you might want a different breakfast sometimes. Why no daily menu's? and in a country producing this much coffee, why would you serve Nescafe? Lets make a real coffee! and since its a backpackers joint partly, you might want a washing service. Would be very helpful. Book exchange could be a great addon.
