A sense of quiet contemplation in the outdoor areas, a pool to cool off in and daybed lounges to read in the shade. Apartments were individual and unexpected in layout. It was great to find such historic buildings to stay in. Nearby taverna was a very good one with fine home-cooked dishes

Stairs are a nuisance but you don’t book old buildings without taking this into account. The spa bath is probably a bad idea that seemed great at the time. Can’t beat a roomy shower stall where the water can be contained. Light switches are a bit high tech and hard to work out. Minor gripes. Nothing to detract from the spell this place casts when you stay awhile

I am slightly conflicted in writing this review. This beautiful village gains its attraction in part because it is not very well known and because it retains the spirit of a mountain village in central Crete from an earlier age. And long may that last. However, in honesty I must also say that this accommodation in the centre of the village is a remarkable place - our suite was so beautiful and well equipped, and the garden so well cared for. The pool is really lovely. We had a jacuzzi in our bedroom but there is also a lovely comfortable lounge and kitchen. This genuinely a really beautiful place.

We loved the village and the hotel with his beautiful venician houses, the pool was great, the small kitchen was comfortable, the house was very clean. The garden around the pool is very well taken care of and very beautiful.

The beds were a little bit hard
