Very nice hotel, polite and friendly staff throughout. Rooms cleaned and well maintained as in line with the whole hotel. Good clean pool & area with sun beds/brollies, tables and chairs all near the nice and friendly bar area (you can also get snacks here). We had rooms with a mountain view and also a mountain view/part sea view - All great to look at from our balconies whilst sipping the odd drink. If you want the beach (pebbly/small rocks) and sea, its literally a few yards away from the hotel with free beds for residents. The main area of Sami is a nice seaside walk with great Coastal/Mountain views (about 15-20 mins walk at a gentle/steady pace). It's mainly a flat walk (bar two small bridges) and is lit up at night. This is where the main port is (Ferries, Boat trips, restaurants/bars/shops etc) - We enjoyed our stroll there and back (twice a day - good for the step count). When you exit the hotel, heading the opposite way from Sami, you can also walk to the Melissani Cave (approx 15 Mins). There are also a couple of eating places 7-10 mins away.

Not the Hotel's fault... a) We had the odd guest neighbours who didn't seem to appreciate other people may be trying to sleep when they are holding their conversations very, very LOUDLY. Especially late at night and early in the morning. b) The balconies are a little close together so be mindful of your neighbours - There are full sized shutters which do close and keep the sun/noise out. General comment ; If you don't have any transport the hotel can quote you for most places (or ask if not on their list). Be aware Taxi's generally are not cheap (Ain't no Uber on Kefalonia) and buses are not that frequent. That said, the Hotel seemed to have a fair number of parking spaces if you do have a car. We liked everything about the hotel itself though - Top place.
