Jungle Inn Bukit lawang

C'est rare de pouvoir dire que tout a été parfait mais ça a vraiment été le cas sur ce séjour. L'accueil de Alde et son équipe a été fantastique et tout a été fait pour nous rendre l'expérience inoubliable. L'organisation de nos trajets pour arriver et partir, celle d'un trek en jungle avec un binôme au top (merci à Rozi et Riski), la prise en compte de nos demandes pour les repas, la flexibilité sur les horaires, la mise à dispo d'une chambre pour un late checkout et j'en passe, tout a été mis en œuvre avec le sourire. Un grand merci à Noura, Blade, Rosse qui ont été d'une extreme gentillesse et aux petits soins avec notre petite fille de 3 ans. Nous avons même été surclassé à l'initiative d'Alde pour nous rendre le séjour plus confortable. J'ajoute que la nourriture est aussi excellente et quand on sait que Jungle Inn bénéficie clairement du meilleur emplacement du village (pour profiter de la rivière et de la jungle) je ne vois pas comment on pourrait décider d'aller ailleurs 😊

Loved my stay at Jungle inn! Very kind and welcoming staff. Special shout out to Blade! Loved the location by the river and on edge of jungle. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Food at restaurant was great, ate there every night. They are able to organise tours and ongoing travel.

In summary, you should stay here for the location, service, food and rooms. I would need 1000 words to express everything positive about this place. Let's see how far I get. The staff, wonderful. Its ask and you shall receive. They said come as friend leave as family. That's what it felt like. While everyone was great to us, the beautiful girl in the cafe made us great coffee, only my wife competes. Blade was also wonderful, we loved talking with him. He is so attentive and charming. My wife wanted to take him home to Australia with us. Bronte (I may get spelling wrong) in the kitchen, this man is a legend. I am a (self proclaimed) asian food coniseur. His food blew me away, better than what I expect at a 5 star city hotel. Best gulai in Indo, best Soto Ayam and superb rendang. He introduced me to two new dishes (rare to see 1 new dish let alone 2) he cooked Arsik and Semur, both fantastic. I just finished speaking to a Samosir local who confirmed the dish was from here. He said the local Samosir people don't cook it anymore because they scared they will get it wrong. So... there is a dying art. Seriously eat every Indonesian dish on the menu. Bronte could be one of the most talented chefs i have ever met. The rooms are great even if the monkeys jump up and shag on your balcony. The Elon Musk on the roof provides reliable internet (though you could improve the range a litle). The rooms are huge, while we didn't need it they had aircon which we didn't expect. Oh and back to Bronte's food. So good, I volunteered my missus into a cooking class. She started a chefs apprenticeship when she was young and reported that the kitchen was super clean, super well organised and she returned with wonderful meals for us under Brontes direction. Not only will we come back, but we already want to come back. When we do it will be for a couple of weeks not a few days.

I was not happy that I booked so few nights, but I was able to extend. I am not happy that I cannot eat Bronte's food tonight.

One of the best hotels that I ever stayed at location wise, right at the edge of the jungle where you can hear the sounds of the jungle and the river running. Rooms are super spacious, well designed, clean, with big balconies with hammocks, and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves some delicious meals as well.

The Wi-Fi in my room was a bit slow, but in the reception area is fairly quick.
