Jungle Inn Bukit lawang

Unterkunft direkt am Fluss mit Blick auf den Dschungel, super herzliches Personal. Große Auswahl an Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant. Toller Trekking Trip in den Gunung Leuser, der vom Hotel organisiert wurde inklusive Rafting und Massage. Das Zimmer durften wir bis nachmittags noch nutzen. Großes und bequemes Bett mit Mückennetzen. Ein Transfer zum Airport wurde organisiert.

Leider ist der letzte Kilometer zum Hotel nicht mit dem Auto befahrbar, sodass es ein abenteuerlicher Weg mit dem Scooter wurde. Die Fahrer waren aber super nett und haben auch das Gepäck für uns transportiert. Die Zimmer sind eher rustikal und offen, sodass auch mal ein paar Ameisen oder Geckos im Zimmer auftauchen können. Uns hat das nicht gestört.

The very kind staff were the best part of the stay. The restaurant is also lovely, with a very nice layout and decent food. There was hot water for the shower, and an old but functional mosquito net for the bed. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Conveniently located near popular trekking headquarters, as well as offering their own trekking services. Situated on the bank of the river, which makes it easy to walk down to it for a swim or a stroll.

The fan did little to improve the hot and stuffy room (I would recommend reserving a room with air conditioning if possible; it would make a big difference). The furniture seemed a bit dated and worn. The outdoor shower is a nice idea in theory, but not usable while raining. Since the toilet and one of the sinks were outdoors—at least in the room I stayed in—there were constantly insects in and around them. The in-room sink also had insects in and around it, though only at night. The monkeys that surround the property ran back and forth across the metal roof at night and were quite loud, which made it hard to fall asleep. The balcony and outdoor area were difficult to enjoy because there were aggressive monkeys that approached if one was outside.

La struttura si trova nella migliore posizione di Bukit Lawang, proprio di fronte alla parte balneabile del fiume. Lo staff è molto attento e disponibile, la cucina ha un buon menù vario per tutti i pasti.

Le stanze sono abbastanza basiche, ma considerato il posto va più che bene!

Beautiful landscape, super friendly staff that go the extra mile to help you. Booked an orangutan tour with them as well and saw plenty of them and had an amazing day!
