Musa Bintang Villas and Bungalows Gili Air

The staff were so friendly and lovely and always helpful if anything was needed at all. They were always sweeping up, cleaning and working hard. They gave us lots of water. The pool is nice and we liked the double outside bed for chilling on. Nice breakfast is also included and you can rent bicycles from the hotel.

The location is okay, around a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. However, with it's close proximity to the mosque and the nearby cockerels, we found it very difficult to sleep. The morning call to prayer woke us up every morning at around 4.45am, as it's so loud and projected. Then it was so hard to go back to sleep as the cockerels sound like they're outside your room and they're extremely loud. It's like they're screaming and this goes on for hours. Although the hotel is quiet itself, we didn't find it very peaceful or picteresuqe, with it's location. The room was fine, quite dark and basic. We couldn't fault the lovely staff though and that makes a huge difference. They always had smiles on their faces.

The beautiful linen and room

Musa Bintang Villas are beautiful place to stay. The property was clean, staff were friendly and did not hesitate to help organise anything when requested. The breakfast was lovely, especially the banana pancake! The location is central so only took 10-15 minutes to get anywhere on the island.

We’ve missed some room hangers or anything to dry our clothes.

The room was spacious and had some storage. We had an outdoor patio. The bathroom was outside, really cool. The pool was open day and night. We got bikes within 10min of asking. The omelette at breakfast was really tasty. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

I had to admit to get the shower gel and shampoo refill. Towels weren’t always replaced and the pancakes was neither a pancake nor a crepe and was a little burnt.

It’s very petite and we like that, only few bungalows and very nice staff. Everything well maintained.

Its problem of the whole island is guess - early morning prayers are very loud and there is salty water from tap - did not bother us much.
