YMCA Tourist Hostel Shimla

Just liked the vicinity. Mall road and food places were close so didn't have to struggle much.

There was hot water problem and also they should have a facility to provide atleast breakfast to their guests.

Location was good. It takes only 2 minutes to the ridge. So you can find restaurants and shops easily. Also view from balcony is beautiful.

Little costly for dormitory.

The location of the YMCA is brilliant especially as its located by Christ Church. If you want a nostalgic experience and comfort is not a priority than I would highly recommend YMCA Shimla, as it has over 80 years history. Most likely built for British Civil Servants. The views are pretty awesome from both the rooms and breakfast areas. Free filtered water system in breakfast breakout area. Good place to refill your bottles. Really clean washrooms. Sinks plus hot water during daytime and evening.

The property is not accessible for disabled persons as there are several stairs up from street level to the hotel and then more steps to your room and the toilets and showers. The room windows cannot be opened as monkeys roam the area.

Great location

Very run down, rooms were dirty, wifi doesn’t reach the bedrooms.
