Chrissie's Hotel

In amongst the wildlife. Adel and staff are really friendly and helpful. Free water. Environmentally friendly. Good location. Great for wildlife. Rooms were good. Provided hot water every morning. Had it's own restaurant. Breakfast was lovely homemade produce. They looked after the driver as well. Beautifully decorated by local artists.

If you have mobility issues you need to let them know as the walk to the rooms at the back might be perilous.

We had an amazing time at Chrissie’s Hotel! The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful - Adel, the owner, made us feel completely at home in the short time we were there for! The hotel itself is gorgeous and has a beautiful garden that is home to a lot of wildlife and incredible views of the mountains that you can sit and watch from your balcony. We also dined at the on site restaurant - the breakfast buffet is delicious and has a wide range available, and the menu for lunch and dinner is also great, with lovely, welcoming staff at both. We would highly recommend staying at Chrissie’s, and we had a wonderful time there!

The location of the hotel is great. It is located among trees with many birds, and monkies. The place has a special charm. Adel the owner is very warm and helped with arranging all we needed. The food in the hotel has lots of variety and very tasty. We had a great time, and highly recommend this hotel.

The host was really fantastic. Nice, clean and quite rooms with basic facilities. Superb homemade breakfast. The rooms are surrounded by trees with good ambience . Very helpful and cheerful staffs. Good location to travel to near by tourist places. Strongly recommend to everyone.

Adel and his band of merry men (staff) were just amazing and went out of their way to be welcoming and Friendly. We were given complementary hot drinks (it was raining); and hot water outside the door every morning. The breakfast curry changed both mornings which was lovely to try. Buffet style was a bonus. The monkeys outside the room (on the trees) were a delight to watch. Trips arranged at reception with pick up just perfect. Free accommodation for the driver and invited him for breakfast which was very kind.

Todo fue excelente. El hotel está muy bien ubicado, entorno precioso en medio de la naturaleza aun estando super cerca del centro. El personal super atento, en los pequeños detalles para que la estancia fuera perfecta. Nos gestionaron el paseo en la reserva de Periyar y el taxi para nuestra siguiente etapa. La habitación muy confortable, limpia y con terraza privada con vista a la naturaleza. Piscina limpia y espacio alrededor muy agradable.

Adel and the staff have been simply amazing! They have welcomed us as family, we had the honour to be invited by them to the family lunch on occasion of Onam festival, which we enjoyed greatly. They took care of us for the whole stay, always available and always helping with a big smile! They helped us book the Peryiar Tiger reserve tour as the site wouldn’t accept western credit cards. Lots of animals can be seen in their beautiful garden, from giant squirrel to black monkeys, making the stay there even more unforgettable.
