Historic location in the heart of the castle, incredible staff that went the extra mile for everything we needed or asked for, and outstanding breakfast with gorgeous views!

Lovely clean spacious room. Everything to make our stay comfortable had been thought of. Great location close to the entrance to the castle made leaving luggage easier. Wonderful breakfast, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Dining room was a bit hot and stuffy

From the minute my wife and I arrived at Monemvasia, we were both most impressed. There were two young men who took great care of our luggage and when we arrived at the hotel (see photos) Moni Emvasis Luxury Suites, we were made to feel that everyone was our immediate friend. We walked the narrow streets, walked the mid-village area and enjoyed the unbelievably scenery. My main reason for going was the fact that my Greek grandfather (Papou) was born there. He surely walked the same streets as we. More importantly, we made the trek up the "Rock" which was no small feat. My wife told me "your Papou was here" so there was I. After we visited the Church at the very top, we made the trek back down... harder for sure. It was then that my wife said "you've been up...now you must go down...into the Aegean Sea and swim as your Papou surely did". What! And I did. The hotel made up fresh chocolate croissants and cappuccino every morning - all 3 mornings we were there. I also enjoyed and highly recommend their Eggs Benedict Salmon...also enjoyed every morning. Fact is, the food was so delicious that we ate at Moni Emvasis every night. The breakfast was Free...included in the price which you can't believe but it's true. The 3 dinners we enjoyed with red wine (8 glasses plus one bottle over the 3 evenings total cost was $240 or so. We wanted to stay one more night but the dates din;'t work so we will go back to Monemvasia one day. I highly recommend this hotel and the Rock Village people are like family.

There was not one thing we didn't like except except a longer stay next time!
