Baba Houlakia

The location was quiet but within easy reach of Mykonos Town. it was sooo peaceful and we felt safe within our accommodation.

We have seen many places in many years, but our stay at Baba Houlakia definitely is among the most outstanding ones. And this is not only for the wonderful garden with palm trees, hammock, deck chairs, etc. - it is for the people! Elpida, Spyros and the whole team are so heartily people who will take care that your stay in Houlakia and on Mykonos will be as perfect as possible. Their hospitality is exceptional and we enjoyed the small talk and nice exchange every day. You can rely on their tips and they will help you with advice for any need. The suite is nicely equipped with cosy furniture and a nice veranda where you can enjoy the sunset. A perfect place, just a bit remote so that you´ll need a means for transportation, ATV, bike or a car. By foot you will need 15 minutes to Agios Stefanos beach with mini market and restaurants. You can also have breakfast, snacks and drinks at Baba Houlakia - all very tasty!

There was nothing we did not like about this place and its hospitable people!

The rooms/bungalows were nicely painted on the outside, the property seemed very well maintained and had beautiful and colourful plants and trees that were well taken care of and added to the overall charm. The materials used around the property were mostly natural and showed a lot of care and thought put into it. We had a little partial view of the sea (which is across the main road where the property is located) from the front porch which was very nice. The property was quiet and calm. The room inside was spacious, including a separate hallway/large sitting area with a corner couch and TV, and a big fridge. The bathroom was also spacious, with a nice shower with good water pressure, all very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and polite.

Personally, I have a back pain so the bed mattress was a bit too hard and the pillows not particularly suited for that, however if you don't have this problem then it shouldn't be an issue.

Wonderful host, warm and genuine welcome. Such a peaceful place with beautiful views and a chilled atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended!

The place is very pretty, the room very big and the bathroom was very nice. We did like everything. We were four days/five nights there and everyday the cleaning lady cleaned the room, she was very friendly too. . Spyros at the reception is such a nice person, friendly, welcoming, helpful in everything we asked him. It was my birthday, so my husband asked him beforehand if he could have a cake for that morning and he did. My hubby surprised me with a lovely, delicious chocolate cake. :) Thank you Spyros. We did rent a car for those days and so we could explore the island, when we went to the city (Old Port, Little Venice, Chora, Windmills) we drove until the free parking right before the old port. From there you can walk everywhere.

The property is located 10 min drive from Mykonos town, it’s quiet , relaxing, clean and very friendly staff. I felt very welcomed upon our arrival. it’s one of the best places I ever stayed.

The property was lovely and perfect for our short stay in Mykonos. The hosts were amazing to help us with any questions and a ride to the port when we needed it. Its a fair walk into the main part of Mykonos so you could get a bus or taxi but definitely worth it.
