Hotel Marianna

The hotel's central location made it easy for us to explore the city. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, providing excellent service with a smile (we arrived 3 AM).

Rooms were so cold, no additional blankets. Breakfast minimal, just egg (boiled or scrambled) and toast, ham and cheese.

I had a problem with my car, the staff were soooo patiant and helfull. there passed the information between them and helped mr with the problems. The breakfast was great.

The location. It was strategically located in center of Drama. Almost everything was in walking distance, including "Oniroupoli" (Dreamland), which is a local Christmas attraction for which Drama is well known. Also, the personnel was extremely polite and helpful. Room was spacious, cozy and with good temperature (heat is radiator- and not air-condition-based). Many power outlets to accommodate the need of working from there and charging devices. Breakfast was also great, with a small variety of option to keep everyone satisfied and last, but not least we could use the balcony for smoking, so no problem for smokers!

To start with, the lack of parking. It is stated in the hotels' page that free parking exists and it's true. But, if the hotel is overbooked, the facilities can't cover the demand. On first day, we were told that in about half an hour, they will call me to give my car to the parking. Never happened. The parking spots near the hotel were not available, because of Oniroupoli's visitors and near the hotel there were only short-term parking spots, with Traffic police to give tickets on daily basis. As a result, not only had I to park away from the hotel, walking carrying all the bags, but I also couldn't move my car because I wouldn't find a parking seat again. Major problem. The second issue was the rooms' noise. We could hear the other guest (and they us, I suppose!) as if they were in our room. The worst noise makers were the doors (every time someone was leaving and slamming the door, we jumped up), the closet and the coat hanger (those furnitures were vibrating because of wind streams). Last, but not least the power outlets. While there were many of them (3 to be precise), none of them was located near the beds. As a result, watching a movie and charging your device, was not an option.

Hotel is situated in the center of the city and has a parking, which is very convenient. The staff was very polite and helpful. We arrived a bit earlier, but nevertheless we were given a room.

The quality of the breakfast was below the expectations. The price of the room was quite high for the quality of accommodation and breakfast.

Although the room was clean it had a bad smell, despite the fact that the balcony door remained open during my stay...

Everything. Friendly, kind people, good location.

Everything was just great. We arrived by bicycle and they were more than happy to store our bikes safely in their basement. The room was just perfect for our needs, the staff were all super friendly and the hotel is literally 150m from the center.

The pillows were a little too firm so I kept waking up during the night, but pillows are a very personal thing, what suits one person doesn't always suit another.
