Hotel San Sebastián

My experience was bad…for the first time ever I am leaving a negative comment for a hotel I have stayed. The facility has a lot of potential; but needs a lot of work. My room was in theory one of the best (honeymoon suite) but the bathroom was not finished and was very uncomfortable. You can hardly fit in the toilet, the bath curtain ended up in my hands as it was loose…and had no mirror (needed one for shaving). If you are allergic (like my wife) or claustrophobic do not use it, as it has no windows & has humidity. I requested to be moved to another room (did not care if it was cheaper); and day after day they promised they would but did not. The room was not cleaned during our 4 night stay…the third day we had to ask for clean towels & toilet paper…they do not service the rooms unless you ask them to, but they do not tell you that during the check in. Breakfast was decent; but some sides are served room temperature & the drinks have to be paid separately- you only get coffee. I was offered one day to change the breakfast for dinner as we were leaving early and returning late….to my surprise when we got back to the hotel at night I was told the cook was gone for the day and had to go out at night when we were tired from a tour to find a place to eat at 10 pm (dinner was planned in theory for 9 pm). When making a reservation make sure you include the amount of people in the room as they charge you per person, not per room. I had to pay almost twice on the arrival for my wife!
