Golo Hilltop Hotel

Beautiful and convenient location, great common area and swimming pool, friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk into town but also nice to just hang at the pool or read on the bungalow’s little deck. Mirella in particular made us feel welcome and helped us get our bearings, making our stay feel really special.

Nothing really - our experience was only slightly marred by very loud, oblivious-to-others neighbours but…millennials 🤷🏻‍♂️

The property is located a bit outside of town but the view is stunning. Rooms are nice, if a bit rustic. Staff is great and the breakfast was good too.

There were mosquito nets above the beds which was good because there were some gaps that the buggers could get in but the nets were stained. Not a huge deal though. The walk down into town was fine but had to grab a taxi back as it’s uphill and could be a bit slippery when it’s raining (which it was) and no close restaurants nearby.

The location and atmosphere at Golo Hilltop hotel are what make it the perfect place to stay if you want great views and want to relax. The views from every verandah, the pool and dining areas are superb. It's hard to draw yourself away. Staff were very accommodating to our needs.

We don't think that smoking in the eating area is allowed.

This is a very good place with a lovely pool and very nice garden…. Breakfasts good and the location is fine … as an older person I found no problem at all in walking down to the little town for dinner by the sea and then walking back up the hill to the hotel.

I mainly stayed here as I had booked a day trip to see the Komodo dragons but the authorities had closed the park so to some extent a wasted trip. Indeed the lady who runs the hotel told me that the park had only been open for 5 days in the past 6 weeks!

Very peaceful, great scenery and friendly, helpful staff.

Guests in room next door who smoke on verandah, however staff kindly moved us to another room after we requested a change.

Stunning views, beautiful garden friendly helpful staff although they had little English. Breakfast was okay, not great. My only complaints would be that the curtains were thin and didn’t cover all the windows so the room wasn’t dark enough at night. The shower wasn’t not very good at all weak and dribbly. I also had to repair the toilet cistern to make it flush. Beyond that I have no complaints, it was cheap and clean with a pristine swimming pool and a noisy resident cat. I could also watch the monkeys playing on the phone wires from my balcony.
