"Bad"

1. We have booked the 2 Terrace Suite with Relaxing Tub, which is one of the pricier rooms. I had asked for a connecting room, but the hotel was not able to accommodate. 2. The room was separated by the Elevator which makes the room quite noisy (it turns out there was also maintenance work), after several complaint we got a Pizza as a service recovery, but the room was still noisy the 2 points above I would say was not comfortable but is something which sometime happens, and I would not have wrote a bad review only for the above 3. This is where the stay turns bad, when we were sitting on the terrace on the 2nd evening the guest above us suddenly spat down. I did not think it was intentional directed at us as there is a sunscreen which at an angle would seem like a plastic roof. We complained to the front office and asked for the senior manager to come down (this was around 10 PM). After waiting for 10 minutes Pak Yohannes came down, and I explained the situation, Pak Yohannes respond was that the hotel is not responsible for the guest actions and the structure of the hotel has been like that for 5 years and there is no problem. My reply was the hotel is responsible for the house rule and for enforcement of the house rule. To which the respond was the hotel has done nothing wrong and he will speak to the guest in the room above us. The next morning after breakfast Pak Yohannes came to us and he had spoken to the guest who has confirmed my story and if I wanted, he can arrange for me to meet them which I promptly declined. My problem is with the Hotel which if it is claiming to be a 5-star hotel should put the comfort and safety of the guest first and take responsibility. If a guess comes with a valid concern the hotel should find a way to fix it instead of refusing to take any responsibility whatsoever and saying it's between the other guest and me to sort this out. Utterly disappointed on how this was handled!

"An Ideal Short Getaway from Jakarta"

The service first and foremost were superb. The villa was above my expectation. A great choice for a quick getaway from Jakarta, not that crowded.

Not that I don't like something, but I think the hotel would benefit from providing buffet lunch or dinner instead of ala carte menu tomorrow give more of dining options as there were not many options around the proximity of the property.
