Hotel Thushara

Good location near beach. Nice large pool with loungers. Good food, especially the dal fry.

Room had no view.

Secluded, quiet and friendly. Restaurant serves a good and healthy variety of breakfast . They don’t participate in the Ayurveda “craze” of Kovalam.

First time difficult to find. Typical reasonable Indian hotel. When all or most rooms are occupied I don’t see how they are going to cope with the pool and the restaurant.

The closeness to the beach and nice restaurant/cafe .The staff are the best as if you come across a problem it is immediately dealt with ,which I haven't had in a 4 star hotel. The hotel is only a 2 star, so don't expect luxury .It's basic with a decent WiFi, which you have to reconnect to when you've been out, but it works .Basic british news on the TV and a reasonably kitted bathroom .Some are old, and some are refurbished, but they are usable .The pool is warm and in 37.temp you need it The food isn't overpriced, and it's tasty .There are 2 small cats which are allowed if you want to see them ...I requested to see them and they are lovely .With the views and the sea just 2 minutes walk away and the cheap price what's not to like .We have rebooked for Christmas as the staff are faultless, and nothing is ever too much trouble.

The floor area around the pool is dirty, and the pool itself has a few tiles missing, so it looks rather shabby but usable. The curtains are thin in the room, and the hotel is well lit outside room 104 , so we put bath sheets over the curtains so we could sleep.The fridge wasn't working but within 10 minutes another one was in the room.

It's better than the photos. Pool is a big plus Has a on-site restaurant Room was clean and he arranged some movie channels and TV worked well Air con was strong and new

Lots of stairs to 3rd floor - a lift would be nice as they have a lot of older clients Nothing really, it's a very nice hotel, for older quieter types.

Good location, nice and clean pool, good sized room with balcony!
