Gerindem Cottages

Perfect location, very near to ubud center. Everything was super nice, better than the photos. The staff was highly attentive, friendly and they even brought our luggage to our rooms. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended, superb value for the facilities you get.

There were roosters making loud noises at night, but the hotel is located in the countryside. Just use some earplugs and it won't be a problem :)

They were accommodating re. Our need to eat in our room rather than the dining setup. This was because we couldn't take the steps down to the common kitchen and dining area.

The photos online and the writeup are very deceptive. There are no cottages. It's a 2-storey building of 8 rooms, 4 on top and 4 on the ground level. There is a common kitchen which is a separate building near a pool and fridge, no fridge in the rooms. The restaurant mentioned is not on the same property but across the road and a short walk. Despite the mention of 24hour staff on duty there were lengthy times when no staff person was on the property. Our room was only tidied once in our 6 days. I don't think anyone used the swimming pool. It was more an ornamental pool. So, this is no holiday resort. It's basic accommodation for those who are happy with the basics. Unfortunately, we had mobility issues with steps and our stay ended up to be disappointing.

Really nice pool area and the room was nice as well. Good location, views from our room were lovely.

The breakfast was inconsistent and we didn’t receive it one day. Additionally, the room was only cleaned on the second day we were there… our 7 day stay needed another clean, we ran out of toilet paper and needed clean dry towels. Our bins were full and they also bring the breakfast to the room, so we had dirty plates and old food in our room for a day or two. They were only taken away when the next breakfast was served.

Good service, daily housekeeping, pool, view from room. Stuff can solve all your problems.

Sometimes wi-fi was terrible. There is a building near the hotel where were too loudly parties.

the bumpy lane was difficult for a beginner on a scooter, apart from that everything was lovely.
