"Peaceful, calming and luxurious"

The room was amazing with everything we needed and the more comfy of beds and luxurious sheets. The building was steeped in History but it felt warm and welcoming throughout.

"The Lodge and Fishing looked good on paper. The reality exceeded, by far, my expectations. Heaven."

The welcome and delightful service from the staff was outstanding from start to finish. The meals were excellent and served in the handsome dining room in grand style. I found it hard to leave this jewel in Conemara.

I honestly cannot fault the place or staff. I felt "at home" and could happily stay for ever.

Excellent hidden treasure in Connemara Ireland. Authentic lodge at the lake. Very pleasant to stay with friendly staff. Great hospitality, very good cuisine. I like to come back.

"Easy living with great comfort in a beautiful location"

Lovely spot, especially with a bit of sunshine, and such a warm welcome from the lovely helpful staff. Enjoyed the lack of phone connection and TVs in the bedroom - down time in a modern life. Food was excellent for dinner and breakfast and we really enjoyed the company of other guests at the table that made our stay so much more than the usual hotel stay. The house is well equipped, great warm service from all staff most with a moment to chat and have a laugh without pressure. Would definitely recommend for a short, cosy stay away from real life.
