Hotel was beautiful, staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect.

There was nothing I could complain about.

We have eaten here on many occasions, so we were delighted to have a chance to eat there again last night (26/12/25) . We had soft drinks whilst viewing the menu, the server encouraging us to have vodka or whiskey with it. We were all drivers so declined. We ordered starters which were small but tasty. The chowder was lovely, coming with a small thin slice of brown bread. My main was fish and chips, the fish was lovely and was a nice portion however the chips were dry and tasteless, we spent time trying to work out if they were oven chips or just old chips that had been reheated over a dry heat some were so hard they were like biscuits! For 28 euro I expected freshly cooked chips! My companions agreed their meals were lovely but again small for the price. We decided not to have dessert there but the server was again overly enthusiastic and it was difficult and awkward to refuse. We will try one of the many other excellent restaurants in kinsale next time.

Breakfast was nice.

Music blared from when I arrived to when I left. I travelled to Cork to visit family and arrived at 8 tired and looking forward to a good nights sleep. I was in room 19 and there was music blaring from a pub immediately next door. This lasted until 2 am. I had a long trip to make the next day and was exhausted. I told reception who said they would inform management.

Perfect location in the heart of town. Included breakfast was amazing. Came in winter, so the Christmas decorations looked fantastic and this hotel really stood out. Decor in the rooms was also very quaint with a nautical theme. Highly recommend
