Ombak Resort at Ekas , a luxury surf and kite destination, Close to Inside Ekas beach

Great on site restaurant, pool, gardens, large and comfortable room. Excellent food! Twice daily free lift or boat ride to the surf! Staff were so helpful and lovely. Pool table! Did lots of swimming here.

It truly is a little oasis. A beautiful garden with a pool in the middle. Lee-Anne is taking a lot of care about the plants. The breakfast options are great and the overall restaurant menu. I liked the fact that they provide transport to the surf spot. The hosts are great and always helpful. You can get everything you need at the resort: Good food, free water refills, hire scooters, surfboards and even some necessities like toothpaste. Otherwise the location is rather remote, yet a couple of warungs are around in the little village. The internet is fast (Starlink), so I could get some work done. Just make sure to stay closer to the reception/restaurant if you have to rely on fast internet. The staff is super friendly and lovely as well.

As the rainy season just started, there were a lot of insects and also mosquitoes in the room. Even though we never left the door open, there was a little gap around the doorframe where they could get in. Also, the geckos in the roof would sometimes leave som poop on the bed, so I would have appreciated a mosquito net for the bed. The bungalows are a bit closer together than I expected with not a lot of visual covers, so sometimes it felt like not enough privacy when the curtains were open or when getting a massage on the terrace, but this didn't really affect my overall feeling about the stay once I got used to it and the other guests staying were discreet too.

Fabulous hosts, beautiful area of Lombok.

We loved our stay here, Leanne and Tim were laid back and made sure we got waves at the best time everyday. The pool was relaxing and the food is excellent. Everything there was well priced. The room very clean and an oasis from the heat

A real oasis with wonderful hosts, great food and a beautiful surf spot. Our days there felt like home. Lee Anne, Tim and Talen run this place with so much humor, care and an impressively sure hand.

Sometimes the electricity or water went out, but honestly - it’s part of the adventure 😊

Both the owners and the staff are very friendly. The place is family-run, which makes you feel like part of the family during your stay at the resort. In my case, I went there to surf, so the experience really depends on the conditions. There are several good surf spots in the area, and if you have some experience, it’s best to rent a motorbike so you can move around depending on the forecasts. From the resort, you have the option to take a boat to Inside Ekas, but if that spot isn’t working, you’ll need to find your own way to one of the other spots. It’s definitely out in the countryside, and the local wildlife is part of the place, as it should be. The dog keeps the rat and lizard population under control, and the geckos take care of the cockroaches.

The weak point is the cleanliness. I think they could pay a bit more attention to that.
