Ombak Resort at Ekas , a luxury surf and kite destination, Close to Inside Ekas beach

Nice vibe. Great music (no boom boom shit) in the bar/resto. Tasty food. Very friendly stuff. Somehow all the guests staying there were, above average, nice, interesting and good-loking too... Tastefully decorated and clean rooms. Top surf material. Nice long reefbreak nearby that you can get a free (and fun) car&boat-transportation to directly by the resort, twice a day. Banging massage. Quiet at night.

The surfspot can get quiet crowded, especially in the mornings - but the sunset sessions always made up for that :)

Lee-ann and Tim are great hosts with well trained friendly staff and they do everything in their power to make all things go smoothly (only thing is - they can't organise the waves too 😂 but Tim does choose the best time according to the tides for the surf boat to go out twice a day). Small improvements that will make the stay even better: The water fountain in the dining room can be replaced by a cooler, this will be really nice for us tourists that are not used to the constant heat. When full included breakfast (7-10am) is missed due to surfing it will be great if a couple of boiled eggs can be made available for each surfer. It is hard to survive on toast and fruit after a 2hr morning surf session.

The room can be cleaner, spider webs and dust in the corners and cornices of the room need a thorough cleaning, some shelves were dusty.

If I could score 12, I would. 🙂 From A to Z, the incredible hosts Lee-Anne and Tim, the friendly and very competent staff, the delicious food, the cool surf routine, the amazing relaxed vibe, the fabulous room and infrastructure, the remote location… staying at Ombak is a full experience! The context created makes you feel the best… Strongly recommended.

Quiet, friendly, and very well maintained. They went the extra mile to make staying there a great experience.

Lack of eftpos/credit payment was a concern, but they helped us pay via a nz bank acct - so that was great. The closest at to withdraw cash was a 30min scooter ride away, but for some reason they didn't work for us, so we went to the next one, and the next... And 3 hrs later gave up.

Had a great time at Ombak resort where I discovered surfing, which may become a new passion! Lee-Ann and Tim, as well as the whole team, are super nice and will make everything to make you feel comfortable. Everything is very well organized, especially when it comes to surfing the nearby spots. As a true beginner, I felt very welcome and will definitely want to come back!!

Leanne and Tim were exceptional hosts, they could not do enough to make sure we had a great stay. The staff were excellent and a good laugh. The food was very good and the resort in general had a great relaxed vibe. Advice for trips and travel was always on offer and everyone seemed genuinely interested in making you're time there as enjoyable as possible.

Wonderful, that's the word that comes to me. The managers are adorable, the staff efficient and kind, the facilities spacious, pleasant and very tasteful. The activities offered are of high quality (personally the snorkeling at the pink beach was simply splendid). Thank you very much for this moment

Amazing environment - great spot for surfing

Ideal place for surfers as everything is taken care of . We were not surfing and found the area too remote and quiet. We took our motorbikes and went around but it was all really far. The beaches around are beautiful though. It too rough to swim . We met lovely people at the resort from all Over the world which made our stay very memorable

Maybe the fact that there was no fish or prawn served at the restaurant. We ended up eating at Febys accross the road
