Odiyana Bali Retreat

Everything was perfect. Very quiet and relaxing.

Perfect for us. I believe far to walk to stores and restaurants but they had great food at the hotel.

Staff amazing and helpful. Drop off and pickup provided efficiently and with little notice.

Wifi was not available in my room, but thats a minor thing. Maybe add a few more items to the menu. Suggest promoting any meditation activities as well.

Excellent location, great training space available. Convenient to have food available in the evening when we were too lazy to ride, but also some nice resort restaurants nearby.

The staff was very nice, helpful and they organized us a really nice driver. The place is beautiful, the pool is very big and the area is very clean. We had a very nice massage and the food was tasty. The hotel organized an amazing private guided tour with jungle trekking, snorkeling and lunch box for a decent price. We stayed two nights and highly recommend!

We recommend to sleep with earplugs because the chicken and cats are very active and loud during the night. As we stayed the water dispenser was broken and the hotel didn't have water to sell. However the village had small shops where to buy water.

A peaceful bucolic hideaway… Bali at its best. Beautiful scenery, hot spring pools, incredible home cooking, outstanding, polite & attentive service ! What’s not to like !!

So relaxing with the pools and ocean view definitely would stay again

When I arrived at Odiyana, I could feel my whole body immediately melt into relaxation. The pool is deep and refreshing, the hot spring bath peaceful and cleansing. The views of Java and its volcanoes were incredible! I stayed in the rainy low season (March), hidden away slightly in a gorgeous wooden cabin (Jnanna) with views of the vineyard and the golden Buddha to the side. The room had lockable cupboards, an outdoor bathroom perfect for the climate, and mosquito netting over the bed (tho the room was free of them). I welcomed the humming buzz of the forest at night and roosters crowing from the morning. The local people are very observant in their practices and as a traveller you may not always know what festival is when. I happened to be there during Ramadan, which had loudspeakers broadcasting the call to prayer. This was only for the first few days of my stay, and tbh I actually started to miss it. It’s special to be so close to the everyday hubbub of life in north west Bali. The local staff at Odiyana are very kind and helpful. I only had to ask and they were swift to meet my needs. I told them my preferences and if they had the time/produce available, they would accommodate me. For food lovers, I would very much recommend Evie’s Cooking Class! Evie took me to visit the local market to buy our ingredients for the two dishes I chose to learn. Evie was patient and instructive, pre-preparing the ingredients and guiding me through the steps. We had a lot of fun in the kitchen (very clean!) and I had a feast that Iasted a few days. Odiyana has a beautiful, carefully-designed yoga shala with remarkable views of the mountains and volcanoes. It also has its own open-aired yet hidden healing hut, with massages, scrubs and beauty treatments available. The Balinese massage was excellent! So many opportunities here - to go slow with yourself or fast-paced if you wish. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Very peaceful setting, nice pool and hot water, cheap food till 11pm, cottages for resting and reading the book, friendly staff, large hotel grounds, comfortable bed and outside bathroom
