Orpheas Resort Hotel (Adults Only)

The hotel was of a really good standard. Quiet, adults only, direct access to the beach and plenty of nice restaurants nearby for an evening meal. We try and avoid all inclusives and smash and grab buffet type hotels, and prefer calm nicely appointed characterful places. The Orpheas fulfilled the brief perfectly. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a sea view and was well appointed and clean. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The breakfast was pretty much continental with a good choice. If you’re looking for a full English, this isn’t the place for you. Although fried eggs and omelettes were great, the sausages and bacon were aimed more at the German guests. The food in the pool bar was really good, and very good value for money. In fact all drinks, food and services in the hotel are very keenly priced. Overall we had a fantastic 7 nights here, and will definitely stay again next time we’re in Crete.

Other guests have mentioned that there is a busy road between the hotel and the rest of the town, and that crossing it is dangerous. In our experience crossing was quite easy in the evening. There is an underpass that you can walk through if you turn left out of the hotel and walk about 100 yards.

Le petit déjeuner était très bon et complet, le personnel de l'hôtel est aimable, sympathique, toujours souriant. L'hôtel est beau, les chambres suffisamment spatieuses, avec un beau jardin bien entretenu. Il y a une piscine principale à côté du restaurant et une seconde en se rapprochant de la plage avec un restaurant/bar proposant de bons plats avec un bon rapport qualité/prix. La plage accessible à pied en 2 minutes depuis la chambre est agréable et calme, idéale pour se reposer. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel.

Le seul point négatif serait le fait de devoir payer 6 euros le transat à la plage (6 euros pour 2) alors qu'on pourrait penser que cela est inclus dans le prix de la chambre.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel en front de mer, l'amabilité du personnel, la propreté et le confort des chambres, la beauté des jardins, la qualité des buffets petit-déjeuner et dîner, les piscines ..

Que les lits de plage soient payants pour les clients de l'hôtel, musique un.peu trop forte au restaurant..

La gentillesse du personnel, le beau jardin et la cuisine.

Une piscine pas vraiment adaptée aux nageurs qui aiment faire des longueurs. Plutôt une piscine de rafraîchissement. Le bruit des hôtels voisins.

der direkte Zugang zum Strand durch den grossen Garten war sehr schön. Das Frühstück war gut und abwechslungsreich Grosse Zimmer mit ausreichend Schrankfläche

das Hotel liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Strasse. Bei Zimmern mit Blick zum Meer ist das kein Problem. Zimmer zur Strasse wären allerdings nicht akzeptabel.Um in den Ort zu kommen, muss man die Strasse überqueren,was nicht ungefährlich ist.
