Elegant hotel, very nice staff, good food.

Could be closer to the centre

Good location, quiet, clean and comfy. It was very cold outside but the mattresses were heated, electrical heather was available and great hot shower, so it was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was practical to eat in the hotel but there are also good restaurants near by. I totally recommend this hotel, great value for money! It was much better than another hotel I spent one night at same price.

The room was super cozy & charmingly furnitured. The bed was heated which was amazing due to the cold room.

I am always hesitant about booking hotels online in India. You can never tell what you will get. Villa Everest turned out to be a great choice -- it is exactly as advertised; quaint, staffed by kind people, with bed warmers and a helpful 900W heater to take the edge off the chill. The room, bathroom, and linens were all very clean. We were close enough (easy walking distance - ~7 mins) to the Mall road, but far enough that everything was quiet and peaceful to sleep at night. They even watched over our luggage for a week while we went on a Himalayan mountain trek! This was an excellent stay and for those who are hesitant about what you will get when booking online in India, feel assured this is a real review by a real American who had a really nice time in Darjeeling at Villa Everest :)

The weather was unseasonably cold , the hotel supplied an electric blanket & a fan heater but the room was still cold in the morning
