Closeness to Bhutan

At the time of booking, we didn't know that the rooms do not have ACs. When we found out and we wanted to upgrade (on payment of applicable rate) they said they wont allow. As per your website plenty of AC rooms were available but they didn't allow. This is what bothered us the entire stay.

Absolutely everyone that worked in the hotel was 'open-hearted' and completely congenial. Staff were completely available to provide anything that was requested. Perfect spot for overnight stop prior to crossing Bhutan Gate.

The urban conditions in Jaigaon can be challenging for western sensibilities, as it is constantly VERY noisy - from 6:45AM to 9PM, and is part of the price for staying close to the Bhutan Gate. Certainly not a criticism of the Hotel, but a legitimate consideration to be weighed in relation to ease of access to exceptional local food.
