nothing, the place is a scam

that the place is a scam... i got to the place and the hotel there is not affiliated to fabhotel umbrella anymore. since they were full, they couldn't take my reservation, so i had to find something else at 4am in the morning, in a place where almost everything is booked 2 months in advance

We stayed ten years ago it was lovely then and lovely now.

Very bad experience from the hotel side. I booked the room from booking.com and when I reached they told there is no room for us. And told they are not in contact with Fabhotels and booking.com anymore. We were girls and they didn't help us with any other stay option. I lost my money. Never book this hotel through this site.

The room was spacious for three and the bathroom was neat.

The place around is dark and eerie at night , breakfast was only of 2 options and very basic. 2hr early check in was permitted on extra payment .

Near the beach. Breakfast was good with a nice view.

I received a lot of automised mails asking me to pay in advance even though I had booked payment on arrival. I answered but never got replies. I also rang and never reached anyone. But once we were there everything was fine.

We were scammed by the manager. We had confirmed booking for Fabhotel Wateredge beach resort but when we reached there, the manager said that the hotel was overbooked and after much discussions (we waited for 3 hours) accommodated us in Itsy Hotel Waters Edge, just 25 metres away. This hotel costs less than half of Fabhotel on booking.com but we were still charged the same price as Fabhotel. After a 24 hour trip and since we did not know anyone as foreigners, we had no other choice than to accept. Beware!!!

Surpricingly quite. Great ocean views. Good bed and airconditioning. Good ayurvedic massage. Local fishermen drew net on Beach and sung trdional songs. No show, autentic.

No sweeping equipment for the sand coming from the Beach. Rough waves on the Beach. Have to travel furtether south to actual Kovalam Beach.

As a business traveller, I found Fabhotel water edge resort to be a practical and affordable option. The room had all the essentials—AC, hot water, and a TV with cable. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was crucial for my work. The breakfast, featuring Idly, Chapathi, and tea/coffee, was a good start to the day. While the hotel is basic, it’s perfect for short stays when you need a clean and comfortable place to rest.
