Hotel Norbu House

The people running the hotel were very kind. The room was nice and big, and they provide free snacks (!). The internet was fantastic, and the bed very comfortable. Room was cleaned very well every day, and breakfast was outstanding with a delicious buffet including fruits, cereals, bread, idli, paratha, cakes, bao buns, juices, lassi and so much more. Even peanut buffer and pancakes! The hotel was very close to the entrance of the Dalai Lama temple. The personnel was extremely kind: when I shifted from Yewang Hotel (which they also own) to Norbu House, they moved my luggage to my room while I was away for the day. They were also very kind when I broke my elbow on a trek.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The food was excellent—delicious and well-prepared—and the view from the hotel was simply stunning.

Norbu House was hands down the highlight of my trip, maybe even the best stay I’ve ever had. The views are incredible, the staff are so kind, and there’s just a peaceful, welcoming vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. Can’t recommend it enough—I’ll definitely be back!

The beautiful terrace can get a bit loud during the evenings but it didn’t take away the magic of my stay :)
