Puri Kasih Gottlieb

This was the most amazing stay of our Bali trip. The place is special, apart from the Bali tourist and traffic chaos, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the forest in front of our door. The staff is absolutely wonderful, we felt like King and Queen here. The food was really good, the pool is amazing, we had a massage and the romantic dinner that felt like a scene from a romance. Yes, it is outside of Ubud, but that is what makes it special. You live in the middle of nature and therefore hear the sounds of animals, but for us, that was wonderful as well. We didn't meet one mosquito and somehow the climate was a little less hot and humid. All in all, favourite stay and highly recommend! 😊

The good: staff is friendly, waking up with a jungle view is truly beautiful.

The bad: outdated, though well-maintained, the rooms are large but not very cosy with a very outdated interior. It reveals a hotel stuck in 2005; the coffee is bad (not only the included Bali coffee, but the not-included and pricy espresso’s are hopelessly watery lungo-americano) and the breakfast isn’t any good. Included breakfast comprised of stale days-old toast and mini-croissants of poor store quality not finished in the oven. Eggs and fruit were OK though cut the night before. The location is a half hour drive to Ubud, so you can’t just run off and have a breakfast bowl in town. The place was nearly empty aside from us, which is nice and quiet but unfortunately this means having to (understandably) decide way in advance at what time you’d like a coffee or breakfast. The pictures paint a picture way too sweet.

The experience at Puri Kasih has been amazing. The kindness of the staff creates a magic atmosphere, as well as the surrounding nature and the cozy rooms and the great food.

Come here if you seek tranquillity. This place is so perfect. This is a beautiful property, about 30 mins (by bike) from the Ubud centre. They have clean and comfortable rooms with Netflix on TV, clean bathrooms, lush green forest view from the rooms, cafe, swimming pool, jacuzzi with hot water, good quality bikes available for rent, umbrellas, insect-repellent (although there are no mosquitoes or bugs). The highlight is the committed and attentive staff who are eager to help. Breakfast was fresh and sufficient (fresh fruit, fresh juice, homemade jams, bread basket, eggs, tea/coffee). We had dinner once at the restaurant and it was simple, hot and delicious. We had the local dishes: sambal mata, stir-fried vegetables, fresh coconut water, and Ayam Bakar). They have some board games available in the cafe too. We loved the place and we will probably stay here every time we visit Bali. We wish them all the best ❤️

There is nothing to dislike

Everything was amazing! Especially the truly honest hospitality and care. Also the food was completely like at home - super tasty! Our room was well equipped with AC and beautiful forest panorama. Super clean & neat also cleaned every day.

All was perfect. Although, going here you should take into consideration the way to Ubud is about 30 mins. Although they provide a motorbike and this was the best transport for us.

Everything! Don't even try to read comments. Just book this stay. Omg....wonderful week in paradise. No insects in the middle of jungle, restaurant is opposite your room, jacuzzi, swimming pool all in few steps distances. They offering cheap and good quality scooters, laundry, massage..staff is just another level, attention to detail, early breakfast as we were going somewhere every day. Even wipe my scooter after rain and give umbrella to get back to the room if it was raining. It is 10 min from ubud, but who wants to stay in an extremely busy town? All the top attractions not far from this hotel, me and my son very pleased, we felt like royal family, thanks to all staff for they hard work as they going above and beyond for sure.

I have to leave this place after 6 nights staying there.
