Hotel Eden Park Pau Est, avec Piscine

Location was great, bed was super comfy, nice balcony... Breakfast choice was not great and not worth the money.

Breakfast (more choices) and more facilities round the pool.

The staff were super! They took us to the shop and the train station. They even showed us where the bus stop was.

A well-designed and modern motel-like set-up, the hotel is located in a quiet area on an attractive plot. Parking is plentiful and in a gated enclosure. Marc made us most welcome, although we arrived early. The beautiful pool was an obvious attraction for us, with loungers, parasols and towels provided. Some shops and an eatery are close by, and each room has a separate kitchenette. Pau is the most attractive city to visit, and Hotel Eden Parc is ideally situated to explore the whole region.

The only minor issue is that a car is needed to visit Pau centre, about 12 minutes drive away. Nonetheless, there are many inexpensive parking facilities.

Hotel clean, rooms we fine, pool OK, but negatives would rule out staying ever again.

Stayed one night for onward journey, had to make telephone, as hotel appeared closed, a man turned up, as reception was closed, he gave us a card key for room & said it was for gates to get back in with car, as hotel kitchen is closed on weekend, payment was paid in advance, so the man drove off. Later I checked the door card, it didn't work. I checked if it would open the main gate to get back in with car, it didn't. So as there were no staff on site to get replacement key, we propped room door open, then my wife pressed main gate button to drive car out to look for takeaway,she then waited for my return to open gate again. When we left the following morning, there was still no staff in hotel.We saw only one other person staying. This system is not only very inconvenient it's dangerous, if there were any serious problems. Be warned.

Room was spacious and comfortable. There was a nice sofa to sit on and a little kitchenette. The hotel had such a lovely atmosphere and everything was done to make the guests stay as pleasant as possible. I did not have a car but there was a regular bus service into Pau.
