Amed Santorini Villa

Absolutely loved my stay here. Fantastic value, gorgeous views, very peaceful. Lovely infinity pool, and right on the beach. Highly recommended if you want somewhere peaceful to relax.

Given there is no restaurant, there isn’t much of a social atmosphere. However, food can easily be ordered from nearby restaurants and is delivered promptly to your room!

As a solo traveler, finding a place that feels safe, warm, and quietly soulful is everything, and that’s exactly what I found at Amed Santorini Villa. Tucked away in the peaceful coastal village of Amed, this villa was more than just a place to stay. It felt like a soft, welcoming hug. The setting is dreamy: perched just steps from the sea, with white and blue accents that echo the spirit of Santorini, but grounded in the heart of Bali. My room was cozy, clean, and opened to the most incredible ocean view. Each morning, I woke to the sound of gentle waves and light streaming through the windows. The atmosphere invited slowness in the best way. No rush, no noise, just the freedom to simply be. What touched me most was the kindness of the staff, especially Made, who welcomed me with quiet warmth and gentle care. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely looked after without ever feeling overwhelmed. I spent my days exploring Amed, snorkeling in the clearest waters, enjoying local warungs, and soaking in the sunsets from the villa’s peaceful perch. Traveling alone can sometimes feel isolating, but here, I felt connected and at ease. There was a quiet sense of belonging, a feeling of home even far from home. Of course, no place is without its small quirks, but they only added to the charm. The villa doesn’t pretend to be a luxury resort, and that’s exactly why I loved it. It’s real, it’s sincere, and it’s offered with heart. If you’re a solo traveler looking for a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and be met with kindness and authenticity, Amed Santorini Villa is a beautiful choice. De duplex villa met uitzicht heeft een prachtige locatie. Het is erg afgelegen en ben er echt tot rust gekomen. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt werd met liefde gemaakt en was heerlijk! Als je vooral buiten zit is het een mooie plek om te blijven.

De accommodatie zelf viel heel erg tegen ik vond het heel erg gedateerd en kan echt wel een likje verf en een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

Tres belle chambre avec balcon et vue sur mer. Rien à redire à part qu’il est un peu excentré. Préférez les chambres situées en hauteur par rapport au bruit de la mer qui peut peut-être un peu déranger la nuit. Je recommande vivement. Petit déjeuner moyen.

Un peu loin du centre.

La gentillesse de Made et du personnel en général, la magnifique piscine, les chambres confortables avec la vue magnifique sur la mer, le snorkeling devant l’hôtel, le petit déjeuner !

L’hôtel est un peu excentré du centre d’amed (25min en taxi ou scooter) mais avec un chauffeur c’est ok

Location was remote, and beautiful, which is fine if one just wants to read and relax. Made, the "manager" was wonderful, seemed to be there 24/7 and was as helpful as possible. Including when we arrived at 2am. The ocean, unlike 90% of the rest of that coastline was too rough for snorkeling (but this is seasonal) due to the rocky entry. The water is so close that waking up in the morning, it felt like one was on a boat in the middle of the ocean. The sound of the waves at night was wonderful.

The room wasn't clean when we arrived. Given that this was one of the more expensive options in the area and given usual Balinese hospitality, it's not good value for money in any way. At nearly AUD150 p/d I'd expect daily room service (double the price of much of the lovely accommodation in Amed), but it was only serviced every second day. Also, proper bedding wasn't supplied, nor a proper bed made, just a sheet. It was accommodation, at a luxury price, that felt like a youth hostel or Airbnb with none of the expected resort/hotel benefits. No restaurant on site and our first night - although they offer 2 meal delivery suggestions, there was a "ceremony" on, so no one was delivering. Also, as snorkeling was the main reason we were in Amed, we had to hire a scooter to get to accessible spots. Ditto to do any shopping, get food etc.

Éloignement avec le centre d'Amed, problématique si on est à pieds (mais c'était indiqué dans la description de l'hôtel, c'est nous qui n'avons pas fait atrention)

Der Ausblick! Ein Traum! Wir waren ein paar Tage in der Anlage. Die Lage ist super. Wir haben tolle Sonnenaufgänge erleben dürfen. Die Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr nett und bemüht.
