Insel Hotel Bonn - Superior

Parkering vid hotellet. Bra frukost. Bra sängar och ett litet eget krypin för vår tonåring. Nära till stationen (ca 500m) för tunnelbanan för resa på ca 20 minuter till centrum. Precis utanför hotellet fanns det ett eget centrum med butiker, restauranger mm.

Fanns ingenting att anmärka på.

Frühstück ist hervorragend. Die Lage ist super

Aufzug funktioniert nicht. Finde das bei dem Preis müssen die Gäste keine zusäzliche Gebühren fürs parken bezahlen. Mir war unter der dünne Bettdecke nachts kalt, zusazdecken war im Zimmer nicht vorhanden.

Everything but most especially the staff, the restaurant, and the location. Michelle @ the front office, Anna & Mourad & others @ the restaurant were all wonderful, friendly, and super helpful. Kept breakfast aside for me on days I wanted to sleep-in or was delayed. Even on a day that I couldn't inform before and was late, they managed to find me some breakfast. The hotel manager even voluntarily carried my luggage up on the day I checked in!! Can't thank everyone enough for truly making it a "home away from home"!! Will definitely return.

It's not so much as not like but a few suggestions: 1. I think given that the property does not have 24x7 reception, they should look to access control entrance to guest living areas. Currently, until 11 pm, anyone who enters via the restaurant (open till 10 pm) or the parking lot can simply walk up the stairs to the guest room areas. That does not sound very secure. 2. They actually should put a notice or guide on room temp control. It either gets super warm, or if you turn down the radiator, then it's super cold. Makes a good sleep almost impossible. They give some verbal advice, but it may make more sense to put it in writing in the room.
