Heart of Ella

Lovely staff, it’s on the mountain away from the busy streets. The sunrise view was amazing. The staff will help you arrange scooter hire and shared ride for a cheaper price.

The room and view are good, and the cleaning is also satisfactory. They have a good breakfast.

However, they mention that parking is available, but there is no proper parking space. Some vehicles are parked on the side of the road. Also, the standard and deluxe rooms do not have air conditioning.The staff members are not very good. Their level of respect depends on the client, and it is not consistent...

Absolutely stunning views from our bedroom - waking up to the sunrise was breathtaking. The staff were welcoming and kind throughout, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had so far in Sri Lanka. The location is great if you want some peace and quiet, around a 15–20 minute walk into town, and the hotel can arrange a tuk tuk if needed. A big thank you to Kavindu for a last-minute 5am ride to Little Adam’s Peak for sunrise - a real highlight of our stay. The hotel itself is clean, relaxing, and well kept.

One downside was that on departure there was an additional fee added for card payments that hadn’t been clearly communicated in advance. Overall, a lovely stay for the views and setting, but clearer communication around additional charges would be appreciated.

Wonderful stay in Ella, the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The view from the hotel is amazing, you can see Ella Rock and Adam’s Peak from the 2-4 floors. It’s also great value for money.

Lovely stay in Ella, the view from the room was incredible, especially at sunrise! The staff were also lovely and very accommodating around date changes we had associated with the Middle East. It’s easily walkable down the hill to the town, and can get a tuk tuk back up if you’d prefer not to walk it. Definitely recommend!

Can’t complain about anything!

I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful hospitality during my recent visit. The check-in and check-out process was perfect and smooth, the rooms were very nice with a great view, and the breakfast at the dining restaurant was truly lovely. These experiences made my stay delightful, and I look forward to returning again. Kavindu is the real HEART of the Ella !

I would like to share some feedback regarding the property’s dining options. The only noticeable area for improvement is the variety and availability of meals. At present, the à la carte choices feel limited, and this is something management could work on to enhance the overall guest experience. Expanding the menu and ensuring consistent availability would make dining more satisfying and align with the otherwise high standards of the property.

Beautiful views from the rooms, amazing hosts & freshly prepared home made breakfast everyday with different variety each day! Host was so helpful & organised many tic tic & taxis for us at great rates. Amazing value for money!!

Was abit of a walk into the town but only a short journey with a tuktuk which was really cheap so no problem
