The location and facilities were absolutely top tier and amazing I have been to Santorini many times and this was by far the BEST hotel experience I’ve ever had . Sofia and Catherine went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and facilitate our arrival. Views and location absolutely perfect! We will be back to this property!

What I definitely want to praise is the incredibly kind and helpful host, Sofia, who truly does her best. Even though she sometimes seemed a little busy — she is clearly responsible for a lot, managing three different buildings — she was always extremely kind to us and arranged everything we needed, including our airport transfers. She and her staff all have warm amazing personality you have to love immediatelly. Upon arrival, the accommodation welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of water and a bottle of prosecco, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We were also allowed an early check in and late check-out, which helped us tremendously. Late check out was amazing because it was raining on our last day. The breakfasts served on the terrace are wonderful — very nice strong helpful man Ilias brings them directly to your room at whatever time you choose. Just keep in mind that the accommodation is truly in the heart of the action, and it is not accessible by car. The staff (amazing Ilias again) will carry your luggage, while you walk about 250 meters donwnhill at a gentle decline, which is perfectly manageable. And the view from the terrace is absolutely stunning!! Wow! What a location!!!! To be fair from the start: before choosing accommodation in Fira or Oia on Santorini, you need to understand that the concept of “privacy” here is very different from the rest of Europe. Most accommodations are built directly into the volcanic rock, so many hotels are designed like caves, without traditional windows, and most of the natural light comes through the entrance doors. Don’t complain about that — that is simply how Santorini is, with only a few exceptions. And if you are looking for five-star luxury with complete privacy, honestly, Santorini may not be the best destination for you at all. The countless plunge pools and jacuzzis around the island are essentially part of the tourist scenery, and unless you are extremely lucky, people will be able to see you.

If I really have to pick somethnig negative: Unfortunately, the plunge pool was not directly next to our room. We had to climb stairs to reach it, and it turned out to be more of a small but very nice jacuzzi. Apparently the heating system was malfunctioning a bit, because the water was almost boiling hot. That felt wonderful at night, but during the day, especially in direct sunlight, it became uncomfortably hot. Sofia was noticed and I am sure they will repair it asap. Fortunately, we had lovely neighbors who allowed us to use their plunge pool, which was located directly in front of our room. The layout of the building is honestly a bit confusing. It contains three separate units: one has the pool downstairs, while the other two suits share plunge pools upstairs. Some guests have a table and chairs directly in front of their door (we luckily did), while others only have seating by the pool on the upstairs terrace or inside the room. I would suggest the entire property should really be rented as one house, better suited for a larger family with grown up kids or a group of friends rather than three unrelated couples. As a single villa with three bedrooms, it would make perfect sense because everyone would naturally share the beautiful facilities. In the current setup, however, you are in very close contact with strangers. Luckily, our neighbors were fantastic — but that may not always be the case. The photos on the website do not make this arrangement obvious, and people might expect a different layout. The accommodation is certainly not cheap, and with this level of shared space, it would not hurt to have the price be a bit lower. We still enjoyed our stay very much, but if we return in the future, we would definitely book a different room — ideally one with a plunge pool directly next to the room instead of up the stairs, and with less shared space with other guests.
