Portal De La Rioja

The view is amazing! We watched from our balcony the sun set over the nearby village and hot air balloons rising over the countryside in the morning. The room was very clean and newly painted. Kind of quirky when you come into the lobby area, but you can see that it was quite a unique design when originally built. Love the large spiral staircase. A short 10 minute walk to the closest lovely village of Brinas which has restaurants and cafes. From there, you can walk along a well marked path along the Elbo River to the wine-oriented town of Haro. It is about a 40 minute walk from the village of Brinas to Haro. Had a great breakfast at the hotel. Enough choices for different appetites. Good food though not fancy. Great coffee!

The temperature was great in the room as we came in the fall. However, it could be quite hot in the summer as the rooms do not have AC or a ceiling fan.

Pues la dueña, recepcionista o lo q fuese... era un poquito desagradable

Buena ubicación y relación calidad precio. La habitación bien. Posibilidad de un buen desayuno a la mañana siguiente en el mismo local.

Paredes finas y cama ruidosa, (para ir con pareja). Hacía viento y las ventanas no aislaban lo suficiente, el viento entraba un poco y también un poco de ruido de la carretera aún con la pesada persiana de madera antigua bajada hasta abajo. Pero lo comento como detalle a mejorar porque el resto bien.

Estaba limpio, agua caliente, con cafetería para desayunar. Lo justo para hacer una noche de paso en nuestro viaje. Balcones con vistas preciosas.

Las paredes parecen de papel, y se oye todo en exceso, incluidas las conversaciones. Hace 50 años debió ser un buen hotel, pero ahora está con lo mismo de aquella época, pero sin mejorar: baños con cisterna alta, bañera remendada, puertas corroídas por el agua y el tiempo, persianas de madera, etc.
