Killa Bhawan

Our stay at Killa Bhawan was fantastic. Such a great and unique experience to stay in this old house in the fort. The view are really amazing, and the rooms were lovely; our kids loved it! Bhanu and the rest of the staff were super helpful and gracious. Bhanu set us up with a fort tour and desert safari, and also provided airport pickup and dropoff (additional charges applied). We had breakfast at Killa Bhawan; the food was quite good, made to order (eggs/omlettes, fruit, toast, tea, etc.). They also provide safe drinking water. All and in all a wonderful experience. We were there in December, and it does get a bit chilly. The rooms are equipped with space heaters, and they provide ample blankets. The rooms stayed reasonably warm, but some may feel a bit chilly.

Spectacular views of the fort and surrounding areas, so many little seating areas in both the rooftop and hidden away to enjoy quiet drinks, reading or a nap! Service was stellar and very attentive - the owner arranged for a guide through the fort and village, he was one of the highlights of our trip to Jaisalmer.

Location!Location! Location! I could see the fort from my window and it was beautiful. It was right next to the main square and so it was easily accessible.

The bathroom was small and the water pressure was low and pressure was not sufficient for hand shower. Other than this minor inconvenience everything else was great. Much Older people may have trouble stepping in to the shower over a step

We highly recommend this hotel. The staff was outstanding, and very eager to be sure that we were happy with every aspect of our stay. We booked a dinner at the hotel and were very pleased with the quality of the meal, much of which was sourced from the hotel keeper's own garden. The food service is strictly vegetarian and no alcohol is served, which suited us very well. The room was lovely, updated to modern standards, and perfectly clean. There was a small shop in the lobby where you could purchase textiles without the pressure of the street vendors. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful location with view of the city, the main entry gate to the fort, and the fort palace.

Location was fantastic, situated within the fort. It was very special. Inside the hotel felt like an oasis away from the activity within the fort.
