Hotel The Magic Tree - Paharganj New Delhi

The reception is not 24/7. We informed about our late arrival (around 1am) in advance and requested pre-ordered airport taxi. The pre-ordered taxi never arrived (despite 2x calls and txt message) and when we arrived around 2.30am with another taxi that we booked ourselves from the airport, the reception had lights off and was completely empty. We managed to get to the hotel by knocking the window and after a while getting the attention of a security guard to get in. Additionally, the rooms are not as clean/new as in the pictures, and the billing was not clear during check-out (the hotel tried to charge e.g. for the taxi that we never used).

The shower was amazing! The bed was comfortable. The 24hr desk made us feel safe. The staff were very helpful and friendly

The room wasn’t very clean. Although it was located fairly central, the road was a bit sketchy and we could hear noises throughout the night

The safety box is not well functioned. No hunger in the cupboard. No tooth paste and brush given day by day. TV in the room only shows local channels

The staff were super cooperative, it was a good value for money.

Bathroom had no shower enclosure or even shower curtain.
