Locanda La Bottega del Parco

We stayed here to catch an early flight from Pisa Airport. The experience was very positive meeting all our accommodation needs for an over night stay. The receptionist (male) was welcoming and helpful.

However, this hotel popped up following a search for hotels near the airport. It did clarify that there was no organised transportation from the hotel however a taxi could be arranged. Having contacted the taxi company at 19 30hrs (both the hotel and ourselves), we were informed the taxi could not be prebooked and to ring again in the morning. On doing do, the phone rang out for 30 mins at 0420hrs. At this point, we had made our way to the nearest main road to hopefully flag down a taxi. We were eventually successful in getting through to the taxi company and were collected at 0510hrs, our flight leaving at 0630hrs. I would not recommend this hotel to facilitate close proximity to the airport.

This property is mainly a very good restaurant, with a few rooms upstairs. The beauty of it is the location, just along the road, a few minutes’ walk, to the Pisamover train, which takes you directly to the airport, about every 20 minutes. It costs €6.50 for a ticket, very easy and convenient. The car rental places are just past the airport, walking distance, so off the plane, go to the car rental, find the hire car, drive a few minutes to the hotel, which has an adequate car park. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, helpful with our bags, and telling us about the restaurant. The rooms are small, just a bedroom with a bathroom, shower, basin, toilet,and bidet. But there was a very big bed! The restaurant is exceptionally popular with local Italians, and very busy. Booking recommended. The menu is based around amazing cuts of meat, and many varied meat dishes, although they do pasta dishes too. The menu is online, so check it out! There is a spacious garden with plenty of room to sit with a drink before dinner. Very pleasant.

Läget var absolut det sämsta jag varit med om..När det står 400 m till flygplatsen så kan man tro att det är nära men icke sa Nicke..bättre att ta ett hotel inne i Pisa och betala taxi till flygplatsen.
