Restaurant being refurbished so we were cramped in the bar for meals. Very limited menu for evening meal. Tea and coffee served in jugs for breakfast so tea not hot. Whole place and gardens looking "tired".

On going to restaurant for dinner on Sunday Evening on being advised that the restaurant was closed the waiter was really apologetic and produced a ploughman's for us he was delightful

I have stayed before. The staff were very welcoming and remembered me. I arrived very late, after the restaurant had closed, but they arranged a platter for me. The service is excellent, warm and friendly, and they can not do enough to ensure your stay is great.

I found the bed a little 'tired'. I was in a different room to my last stay when my bed had been perfect.

Venue is undergoing refurbishment as under new management, some areas looking tired but overall a lovely venue. Not much around the venue but for an overnight stay it was very nice.
