Very beautifully done and very little detail has been taken care of

Everything was top-notch. The courtyard was beautiful and a lovely place to relax. The room was very spacious and well furnished, and there is a very nice alcove area near the windows that overlook the courtyard. The staff was truly exceptional: they were incredibly friendly and kind, and they were extremely attentive to all of the guest’s needs and in fact remembered the guest’s exact preferences for food orders, for example. The breakfast was very varied and plentiful—a wonderful way to get the day off to a strong start. In short, I could not asked for a nicer stay—it was the perfect place for mec to stay while I was in Jodhpur..

The property is tucked on a side street, away from the main road. So no traffic noise. It looks quite unassuming from outside but once you enter the main gate, it's a different world inside. Really nice.

The dim lighting in the dining area. I can understand dim lights at the tables and in the dining hall during dinner. It was really dim even for breakfast. When asked to increase it the staff informed that it cannot be done. I think the day should start with bright light, if possible, even some sunlight filtering into the hall.

If there were a higher rating than 10.0, I would give it to Daspan House. It is truly an oasis of peace and comfort in a hectic city. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and beautifully furnished. The garden is lovely to sit in, the pool area is beautiful, the restaurant is great, the bar is adorable and also serves light meals. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast menu is amazing. This is a stately home turned into a hotel in the very best way. If you need to stay closer to the old city (and put up with noise and cramped spaces) that makes sense. Daspan House requires a 20 minute taxi ride to get to the Clocktower. But if that is not your priority, you simply must explore Daspan. Possibly the best hotel in the country!
