Great location, clean, and excellent breakfast

Small room and bed was too soft

The location, it’s right in front of the lake bled, yet very quiet at night. The staff are friendly and helpful. Mattress is comfortable, good breakfast. Room is very new and clean.

Layout of the bathroom is kinda stupid, it definitely has the space to fit in a bigger shower cubicle but it didn’t, the tiny space for shower makes you miserable.

Bed was quite hard.

Right by the lake. Bedroom view incredible. You can swim in the lake from the hotel. Staff nice.

Bedroom on the small side

Located on the side of Lake Bled at the main ferry per for organised visits Hotel Starkl has wonderful views. It is worth paying for lake view room. There is a restaurant attached that is very busy during the day due to the location and views but thins out at night. The food is good and solid rather than inspiring. Staff were all very helpful and, since there is no lift, they provide a luggage service that consists of one of the younger fitter men carry you luggage up or down the stairs for you. It is about 1km walk along the lake front to the main centre of Bled with a variety of restaurants an bars as well as other activities.

Our room was small but contain everything needed, bathroom, shower, wardrobe and desk. It had a safe and a mini fridge. Breakfast was buffet style, mainly cold meats and fruit but some cooked dishes keeping warm.
